Friday Link Love Time

This week we had some very special visitors stop by our house. Our friends from Belgium are in the States to visit family and vacation. Of course we celebrated their arrival in a deeply American way—with snowballs, a backyard cookout and outdoor movie.
There was firecracker shrimp, sweet corn salad, watermelon, fireflies, the sounds of crickets and candles flickering in the dark. I have to admit, the whole night had an air of magic to it that I’ll remember for many years to come.
