And Now the News…

by , posted on February 25th, 2011 in News

Well the lovely 70 degree weather from last weekend didn’t last. On Tuesday, the kids had a day off school because of snow. But since that storm, the snow has melted and my neighbor’s tulips have sprouted. This has lifted my mood considerably.

Okay, enough about the weather, let’s get to the news! Here’s all the news that’s fit to click—the fun, the educational and the all-about-me links (purely for vanity’s sake I assure you).

Looks like someone’s kicking it old skool! Print’s back baby.

Donkey Kong goes designer. 8-bit never looked so good.

from Pancakes for Recess
Remember kids, it’s spelled princ-i-pal because the principal is your pal.

from the Happiness Project
Number 11. Donuts. Um, somehow I don’t think my addition quite stands up to the other ten things on the list.

from Chris O’Shea
It’s only like all the best things rolled into one. I wanna turn! I wanna turn!

from Fine Little Day (via Kickcan and Conkers)
It’s a Fine Little Gallery on a fine little site featuring fine little artists. Celebrating kids art!

And here’s a look at what’s going on in the playvolution…

Ring those recess bells! Being active stimulates the brain and helps kids learn. It keeps us adults mentally fit too.

I don’t know if the link between daydreaming and creativity is all that surprising.
But I’m happy the experts are on it. What does this mean for our kids? They need free time just like the rest of us!

Before I go, here’s where you’ll find me hanging out these days…

I do love a fellow Hungry Mama! Especially one who appreciates marshmallows as both a building tool and a culinary treat.

I find the addition of rainbow colors inspired! And how amazing is that playground?

I have no idea what this says, but my name is a tag. This accomplishment is totally going in my diary.

Meet some of my friends. Sign up and you’ll get rewarded for buying super cool things from these super fab small businesses.*

*Look at that! I did it! I fit in not one, but two gratuitous items. Pics of my kids’ artwork and a pitch for m’toy company. Well, I think my work here is done.

I wish you all a very lovely weekend! Have anything fun planned?
