Carnival Party: Balloon Animals

Now I’m not entirely sure why you would ever need to know how to make an animal out of a balloon. Perhaps you need a cool trick to perform at dinner parties. Maybe you feel it’s the last step towards self actualization. Or then again, you could be like me and are trying to figure out a rather inexpensive activity that will keep a group of 20 sugar-filled, party-crazed kids entertained for a few minutes.

Whatever the reason, I’m here today to pass along a link I found for step-by-step instructions on how to make your very own balloon animals. Last night, this super simple activity kept my kids entertained for a good 20 minutes after dinner. It was, and yes, this will sound rather hokey but I’m saying it anyway, fantastically good old-fashioned fun.

Word of advice: buy a balloon pump because those balloons are freakin’ impossible to inflate. I nearly passed out trying to blow one one up.

Now go have some fun!
