by Jennifer Cooper, posted on October 7th, 2011 in Cooking

For this recipe, you’ll need:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground ginger
6 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/3 cup heavy cream
6 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Step 1
Mix together dry ingredients.

Step 2
Cut in butter. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty.

Step 3
Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl.

Step 4
Pour the wet mixture into the dry. Stir to combine.

Step 5
Shape scones into circles, squares or triangles. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.

Step 6
Optional: While scones are baking, make a small stencil out of paper or card stock. After scones are baked and cooled, it’s time to decorate. Place stencil on scone then dust with powdered sugar. Gently remove stencil and voila! Enjoy.
