DIY Mini Halloween Bunting

by , posted on October 2nd, 2012 in Arts & Crafts, Halloween, Parties & Celebrations

What’s cuter than a Halloween party? A mini Halloween party, that’s what. Kids and grown ups alike will enjoy this tiny twist on the traditional. So my idea here is to create a series of posts. At the end of it, we can throw a mini party or take what we’ve made and turn it into a gift. Let’s see how this goes, shall we? First, we need some decorations. Let’s start with this itty bitty bunting.

You’ll need:
orange and black felt
scissors
large sewing needle
bakers twine

Step 1
Cut felt into 3/4 inch strips, then trim out isosceles triangles. They don’t need to be perfect. Unless that sort of thing causes panic. Then by all means, measure away.

Step 2
Take your twine, run it through the eye of your needle then sew through the top of the felt triangles. When you have a length you’re happy with, knot the ends and hang. Festive!

Gah – the cuteness is killing me! I want to make an entire little diorama filled with a mini bunting and mini witch hats – a whole mini-Halloween scene :)
