Spring brings with it many things: beautiful flowers, red breasted robins, massive allergies and this year, it’s also bringing some serious baby madness.

Not one, but two of my lovely friends (Carla, who you know as our resident craftspert and Lacy from Living on Love) are having babies—cute, rolly polly, chubby, adorable babies and I couldn’t be more excited for them. Sadly, they live far away, but that didn’t deter their online friends. So we’re throwing them a virtual baby shower.

My contribution to the shower is a gift for the nursery. I made a little print featuring a quote from one of my favorite children’s book authors. It actually makes me tear up a bit when I read it. I’m such a sap.

I made one for Carla and one for Lacy, each in their nursery colors. I’m mailing off framed versions later this week. However, you can print one out today! Just click here. I recommend printing it on watercolor paper if you’d like to frame it. I’m thinking about turning it into a printable card later. So stay tuned.

Carla and Lacy, I wish you a very healthy labor and delivery, babies who sleep soundly for long stretches of time, and a flock of relatives who cheerfully cook and handle laundry while you nap.

Sending all my love and good wishes to you and your growing families.

Love Roald Dahl–this quote is lovely. Thank you!

I love him too. The first chapter book I ever read was James and the Giant Peach. And I fully credit him with igniting my son’s passion for reading.
