Happy Friday!

So a friend of mine said something the other day that had me laughing, “No one ever posts pictures of the second day of school.” And I thought, ain’t that the truth.

The picture above is of the kids’ first day of school. I’m posting it specifically for Dave’s mom (Hi Mom!) who isn’t on facebook but is an avid reader of this here blog. How awesome is she?! So awesome that she gave me one of her recipes to share with you all for the most amazing pie in the world. And if there’s one thing about me you should know, it’s that I don’t exaggerate when it comes to desserts. It’s the real deal. So stay tuned.

This weekend Dave, the kids and I are meeting up with some friends who are coming up from DC and kicking it tourist style in the city. Old friends, cute kids, big boats, lots of photos. I can’t wait!

    So many great links above…thanks in advance..need to take the time to read them all.

    I love the humor of no pictures from the second day of school – in my house the second day was definitely harder..kids more tired, dragging a bit and it was a push to make it to the bus on time. I think my middle school daughter almost missed her bus! Make for good memories! Have a great weekend.- Love your posts!
