Happy Friday!

This morning, Dave and I had a hot date getting couples flu shots. It was our first ‘alone’ time in a week. We spent it waiting in a doctor’s office for our names to be called to get jabbed in the arm by a needle full of flu virus. Ah, romance.
How’s the re-entry from the holiday season been for you? I’ve been bleary-eyed through most of it. Getting up in the morning has been painful. For all of us. I’m hoping it gets easier. Next week is a full week of school. Crossing my fingers a whole week makes it easier to get into a routine.
And now the links…
-Have you seen the food exhibit at the Smithsonian yet? We went to check it out this past weekend. I loved feeling like I was stepping inside Julia Child’s kitchen. I even took notes about what books she had on her shelves. I’m a dork that way. My friend Clare designed it, along with the First Lady’s exhibit, so feel free to say how awesomely designed everything is loudly and frequently. ;)
-Speaking of food… Caroline (yes, our very own!) has trouble with meal planning. Sheri is going to whip her into shape. Join the two for Mealtime Bootcamp. I know I’ll be following along. I could use some help. It might be one of the best collaborations on the web I’ve seen in a long time.
-Do you know what you’ll be like in five years? I say, we’re even more fabulous than we are now. Who’s with me?
-Feeling low? Maybe you just need a good compliment. Here’s one for you! <- I love this site and concept so much I want to squeeze it!
-Have you heard about Chore Monster? Molly was telling me about it on twitter. She’s trying it out with her two. If you have any experience with it, let me know.
Well that’s it from me. I’ll see you back here next week. Jillian will be back with a new Traveling with Kids installment and Deborah is swinging by with a new art lesson. I can’t wait! Have a wonderful weekend.

Isn’t it great?! The first one I had said, “the kid who walked by you today wishes he could be like you when he grows up.”
I’m going to bookmark that site for sure.
