Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! Have any fun plans for the weekend? We’re going to a food truck rally tonight. I’m pretty excited.

Other big plan: we’re painting Jonah’s bedroom. He’s been sharing a room with Ellie and is now transitioning to his own. I think there will be an adjustment period—those two are so close (even though they bicker). We’ve tried to pump him up about it though, “We’ll put up shelves where you can store all your legos!” He and I spent some time looking on pinterest and The Selby for ideas. The Selby?!! I know, we’re so pretentious ;) He has his heart set on a jungle themed room. Dave and I have a more minimalist approach in mind since his room is smaller than most people’s closets. We’ll see what happens!

Here are some things that caught my eye this week:

Love these and these. How do you feel about melamine? Do your kids eat off of it?

Make fun of me all you want, but I so want to try this

Can. Not. Wait! Love the never nude poster. Ha!

Cool ideas for planning an Earth Day meal

A deeply moving look at life’s transitions

I’d drink it

Have you heard of the book The Child Whisperer? I seem to have a determined type and a sensitive type. I’ll let you guess which is which. What about you?

How have I not heard of this series? It’s the UK’s largest cooking community on youtube.

10 things I wish your kid knew about autism. Fantastic piece! Also check out the Talking Hands Project.

For those who have trouble understanding why they don’t fit firmly into either the introverted or extroverted camp, this article is for you. It hit home for me. While I can get out on a dance floor and ham it up, talk to celebrities (I know, still can’t believe it!), and appear on tv, I’m ridiculously shy and introverted. Also, it made me feel better about my need for naps and downtime during the day. I’m not lazy, I’m creative. Ahem.

And here are some things I wrote when I wasn’t here:

It’s only the most delicious iced tea ever
10 totally awesome and arty paper crafts. ‘Cause paper’s one of those things you always have laying around the house.

And hey! Don’t forget to use your 30% Classic Play discount when you shop Tulie & Woo through April 15th. Just enter code: classicplay30.
