“Let’s Stay In” Valentine’s Day Night

by , posted on February 14th, 2012 in Parties & Celebrations, Style

Last night, Dave and I did some math and realized it’s our 19th Valentine’s Day together. NINETEENTH! At this point in our relationship—what with having kids, work tomorrow, school prep in the morning and all—we’ve found the best date night for Valentine’s is a low key one. After having a super awesome family dance party, of course.

…Clockwise From Top…
location | Our Couch
drink | Tawny Port
entertainment | Our Favorite Romantic Movies
treat | Neuhaus Chocolates
cozy maker | Throw Blanket*

*Sadly, we don’t have this blanket. Ours is a cotton one from Target. It’s super cozy, but not nearly as gorgeous (or expensive) as this one made out of recycled saris.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES. Sounds perfect. Ours will be pretty similar to this, I think!

It’s like a double date, just at different houses.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I think we’ll be on OUR couch at home this evening too…Still snickering about the mutual temptation of the heart-shaped sausage patties/hamburgers. Now THAT’S when you know you have gone too far!

My night looks a lot like yours- but port! That is a genius upgrade to the red wine I had planned :)
