Movie Night

In the Love Issue we visited a family as they enjoyed a simple night in—pizza and a movie. This is something we do often in the Cooper house. Last year, my daughter had a mock pj party (she was a bit too young for a real sleep over). She invited a friend over to make their own pizzas, mix up some yummy rootbeer floats and watch Herbie the Love Bug. I must say, they seemed to have a lot of fun.
As a child, I so fondly remember watching the Wonderful World of Disney movies on Sunday nights: Pollyanna, the Swiss Family Robinson, the Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again. My dad would make pizza dough (I seem to recall his version came from a bagged mix that only required the addition of water) and we would settle in for a couple hours together. It was one of the few quiet moments we had as a family. In a rowdy family of six, quiet moments were sometimes hard to find.
But before I get completely swept up in nostalgia, I want to get to the real point of this post and that is to ask: what are your favorite family movies?
