New Episode of Adventures In Learning | Shape Scavenger Hunt
In our latest episode of Adventures in Learning (#AinL for those of you playing the hashtag game), we take the kids on a shape photo scavenger hunt. While you can do this anywhere—around the house, while the kids are bored at the grocery store, etc—we took a short road trip to St. Michaels. You may remember it from posts such as this and this.
Now, before you watch, let’s all agree to ignore my voice in the voice over, cool? I had a massive cold and sound awful.
Now if you’re a lover of back story (like me), here’s the deal with this episode… we actually shot this video twice. The first time we went to Annapolis. We ran into a bunch of problems though. There were too many cars, we lost the light, people kept coming up to us asking what we were doing and it was all too rushed to make a convincing case that “hey, we’re having a great time! You should toootally try this activity.”
While we’re doing this as a real family, I wouldn’t imagine that everyone has a camera following them all the time. So in full disclosure, let me come completely clean and say we do a few things for the camera like: take multiple shots of something, practice camera blocking, and choose where we do the activity based on light (golden hour is the best) and noise.
But, we try to keep the activities themselves as accessible as possible. My goal for every episode is to offer an idea that families can easily manage on a weekend. Hope to nail it!
