What is love? Love is heart shaped toast. Love is a baby’s belly laugh. Love is forgiveness. Love is early-morning snuggles. Love is the smell of a baby. Love is dancing in the bathroom after your toddler pees on the potty. Love is hearing your kid spell his name for the first time. Love is watching your baby look up to her big brother. Love is watching your toddler protect his little sister. Love is a tutu. Love is Sunday mornings at the farmer’s market. Love is a blizzard with homemade chili and corn bread. Love is visiting somewhere warm in the winter. Love is watching the world evolve through your baby’s eyes.  Love is your husband knowing you love butterscotch. Love is 10,000 pictures in iPhoto. Love is listening to your child’s imagination. Love is breastfeeding in the middle of the night. Love is listening to the same CD in the car over and over and over again. Love is being in the awe the second time as much as you were the first time. Love is your home looking like a tornado blew through. Love is time-outs. Love is dinner together. Love is coffee. Love is hearing “mamamamama.” Love is hearing “mom.” Love is staying calm. Love is losing your marbles. Love is grocery shopping alone. Love is a car full of Cheerios. Love is knowing the ticklish spots. Love is knowing when to take a break. Love is birthday parties. Love is flying by yourself with two children. Love is dealing with teething, ear infections and pink eye. Love is day trips. Love is finding a pacifier in your bra—while at work. Love is never sleeping in again. Love is catching vomit. Love is blowing noses. Love is nannies and babysitters and grandparents. Love is loads of tears and laundry. Love is a fish named Alice. Love is a balancing work and life and love. Love is jumping into a swimming pool. Love is awe. Love is a big boy bed. Love is an owl mobile from etsy. Love is both kids in the tub together. Love is heart shaped toast.
